Most Google Ads benchmarks online use US data. GCC CPCs, CTRs and conversion rates look different. Auction depth varies. Bilingual targeting changes the math. We compiled this benchmark from anonymised data across the active managed accounts we run, so GCC operators have a real reference point.

A look inside

The headline finding: GCC Google Ads CPCs are 20 to 40% lower than US equivalents in most categories, but conversion rates are also 15 to 25% lower on average. The net is comparable cost-per-acquisition, but the math is different and the optimisation levers are different too. For example, GCC real estate Google Ads sit at AED 6 to AED 14 CPC for high-intent queries, with conversion rates around 4 to 7%. US equivalents are USD 12 to USD 25 CPC with CR around 6 to 9%. The GCC math works if you know it. E-commerce Shopping in the GCC is the highest-leverage Google Ads category right now, with CPCs at AED 0.80 to AED 2.20 in most product categories and ROAS frequently above 4x for well-structured catalogues. Most operators underuse Shopping because they think their product needs to be on Salla or Shopify in a specific way (it does not, exactly).
